i'm not inclined to resign to maturity.

At age eleven, Shawn Spencer wants to be a fighter pilot, a secret agent, a TV stuntsman, a candy factory owner, an astronaut, a video game tester, a lion tamer, a racecar driver, a rock star, a bounty hunter and Batman. His father, however, has set his hopes on a somewhat different career path.

A career cop, Henry Spencer has already begun to train his young son in the secrets of detective work, fully expecting to one day pass on the torch to Shawn. Shawn's not so sure about that, but he's certainly a fast learner. Henry's frequent exercises have helped to hone an already astute mind and sharp memory, equipping Shawn with unusually strong observational skills for a boy of his age.

Not that Shawn's especially interested in stretching his talents. He'd much rather be investigating the mysterious lair of darkness known to most as the teacher's lounge or sneaking into R-rated movies with his best friend, Gus, than applying himself in class. Irrepressibly curious, quick on his feet and ever in search of new sources of entertainment, Shawn's never one to shy away from new friends or experiences, although he could sometimes do with a level-headed voice to ground him and keep his hare-brained schemes in check. Ever impulsive, he's of the tendency to act first and think later.

On an OOC note, although Shawn's observational and deductive skills aren't as honed as they will be by the time he's (allegedly) grown up and faking his crazy psychic visions, he is nonetheless more observant most people as a result of his father's training, and prone to picking up the kind of minute clues and details that others would usually miss. As such, I'd love it if you could help me out when interacting with Shawn by including one or two easily-missed bits of information while describing your character.
